Cilex Lawyers lead the way..
Cilex is a regulatory body constructed to support those whom do not come from the traditional background of law
We have been bought up to understand that these are the routes to law, and whilst changing over time (but not quick enough) we note that the system is still fundamentally flawed
Why?
Because lawyers cannot make changes to their lives how they please
Why?
Because lawyers who do not come from the traditional style route of law - ie university and solicitor regulation by way of the SRA are disadvantaged
Why?
Because they cannot choose their lives
They can quality
They can work
But only under Sra regulated firms
Why?
Because the SRA refuse to let us run our own firms without extreme disparity and judgement
We are demeaned and belittled and put down for being cilex regulated lawyers
I hear it time and time again - from estate agents, other lawyers no less than the land registry who tell you cannot approve certain deeds
Why is this when someone of the most brilliant talented and clever human beings are cilex regulated lawyers ?
Louise Trueman is the first ever cilex regulated lawyer to establish a law firm based on consultancy. The first ever. And meanwhile we cannot obtain cqs regulation. Why? Because we are

2. Cilex lawyers
And this was quite clearly laid out for us within the sector by a lawyer who actually felt comfortable enough to say this to our face. Do you know how astonishing it is that a male should actually deem it appropriate to share that so someone’s face ?
We are dedicated as a business to change and we will not stop until it is done. Whether that be court applications for injustice and establish equality or raising our hand to who’s ever needs to hear or on behalf of anyone who needs it. This is our mission.
We are proud to be, women of colour, women who are white, males of colour and differing races, we are proud to be people from legal backgrounds and lawyers from all walks of life including the council estate of Lincoln. We don’t care who you are - we care what you can do - how you can care for others when it matters - how you speak when you see injustice - who you put your arms around when they need it.
